Will Muschamp spoke Monday about the need to simplify the offense by completely doing away with it heading into this week's preparation for Georgia on Saturday. "We're just not going to put an offense out there. We need our offensive players ready and rested to play special teams and provide depth on defense. That's the mark of a true blue collar team. Winning with special teams and defense and that's what we plan to do from here on out." Muschamp outlined his plan to win by saying the defense needs to force a punt or create a turnover. If the punt returner or defender doesn't return it for a touchdown, they would immediately punt on first down and hope the opposing team muffs it. This would continue for the entirety of the game. "I believe in putting your players in a position to succeed and putting our offense on the field is not fair to any of these players." Offensive coordinator Brent Pease planned to take his offense on a nature walk before Saturday's game to find the end zone, but that has been scratched after Muschamp's decision.
