Facebook technical question

Question here for all of the techies - on Facebook, for whatever reason, I cannot post a link as a reply to a thread. If I put a link in a new status update, there is no problem. However, when I try to post a link in someone elses thread as a response, it initially shows as posting, then when I refresh the screen, it is gone. Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this is? Is there some setting that I need to change?

Thanks in advance for your help.

It happens sometimes. Try re-doing it.

No idea. Facebook makes changes all the time and sometimes they break stuff. Like rock said, just try again.

Now that I think of it, try Facebook in Google Chrome. Firefox and the Deplorable Internet Exploder both suck.
