They showed a clip on MSNBC of Cullen Jones after the medal ceremony. The press took him back to the press room so that he could watch a replay of the race and they filmed his reaction. Man, his smile just kept getting bigger and bigger as he watched that race. Cool stuff!
Cullen Jones is the first black American swimmer to hold a world record, even if it's on a relay. He is the second to win a gold medal (Anthony Ervin won gold at the Sydney games in 2000).
^^You mean the rumor about black people not being able to swim is false? Who knew?
dude, even Cullen Jones was a near drowning victim as a kid...If not for a lifeguard, someone else would've been swimming that third leg the other night.
Damn it, if you can't rely on stereotypes as a foundation for your life, what can you depend on?
“The Knave abideth.” I dare speak not for thee, but this maketh me to be of good comfort; I deem it well that he be out there, the Knave, being of good ease for we sinners.
